The Tracks throughout have themes , going from Sadness to Finding Love , all have a fairly sombre sound to them but also if you just Switch off and Chill to the Sound of them also uplift as well. Most tracks are Slow and downbeat with a couple of exceptions. overall it is a Good album especially if you just want to Turn on Switch off and chill out.

This CD can definitely do without a few of the tracks.
ie. #14 All the Way(Live) Benny Benassi Feat. Ying Yang Twins
Absolutley a terrible track. This Benassi CD is NOT a favorite.
I rate this CD as "1.5 Very Poor".

As an illustration of my state of lucidity "Turqoise Hexagon Sun" works as well as any other. Background noises of a crowd at a party lie behind a surprisingly identifiable trip-hop loop. Pallid keyboards meander through a sparse timbral meadow, before gently subsiding. Practically nothing has happened in almost six minutes and yet this nonspecifity has conjured up feelings of both discomfort and contentment. I want my earned six minutes back.
It is this continual deferrment to the listener's subjectivity which lies at the heart of Music Has The Right To Children's inherent power. It has seventeen tracks - calling them songs feels like a betrayal - and they all have titles, but none of the words have any relevance to how they sound, or more importantly how they feel.
Once again I am sorry if I have offended the B.o.C. fans, I just don't get it.

This is a really bleak album, more than even Geogaddi, which has a backbone of aggression that keeps it from becoming depressing. Not that fans expect upbeat, but usually there's a Nlogax, ROYGBIV, Aquarius, or Dawn Chorus to leaven the mood. Here Iced Cooly plays that role, but the synths are distorted to the point that the effect is more queasy than whimsical. For me a hallmark of the BoC sound is emotional ambivalence - innocence with a menacing undercurrent, psychedelia with a hint of madness - but the cumulative effect of these tracks is just dour.
A case in point would be the opener, Sixtyniner. The twinkling, autumnal synths are great, until this oboe-like sound and plodding beat come in and make it sound almost comically sad. The highlights of the album for me are Oirectine and Melissa Juice. The former is the epitome of minimalist composition; the opening tones alone vibrate at the perfect pitch to make your flesh creep and your hair stand on end. The reverb and distortion make the song sound as if it was recorded in a culvert or train tunnel; towards the end, a backward, loping beat is introduced that gives it a sinister, funky intensity. Totally eerie and unclassifiable. Melissa Juice is a slight composition that captures a nostalgic feeling in the way only BoC can.
Of course BoC completists have to have this EP; in fact, thanks to the miracle of filesharing, most of them already do. As far as I can tell the remastering is great and definitely justifies a purchase if you already know you like the material. And despite the downer mood it induces, there is a sense of vast open space on this album that makes it stand out when compared to, say, the more self-conscious and fanatically detailed Geogaddi. Still, for those new to the music of BoC, I would start with the superior Hi Scores EP, or either full length album, Music... or Geogaddi.
I still do not fully understand the music of B.O.C.

When your name graces the top ranks of the global charts, the pressure to deliver an album that justifies the hype must be killing. Eleve11 has been in the works for two years, a period of time during which Sander established himself as one of the most popular DJs in the field of trance and electro house globally. Eleve11 has become another reflection of the SvD sound, yet in an updated and more sophisticated form in which ultrasonic big room elements merge with poppy hooks and uplifting melodies.
The album opens with two of Sander’s biggest hits to date, the massive big room tune Love Is Darkness and the epic, whistle-driven slammer that is Koko. Believe ft. Tom Helsen takes things to Deadmau5-ian heights and although it’s a lovely tune for beach parties and outdoor festivals, the tune could have used a more original basis. After the so-so Nano and Rolling The Dice - the latter being a collabo with Sidney Samson and Nadia ‘Rapture’ Ali - the album’s content returns to more exciting dimensions again with tracks such as the dark and stomping Godskitchen Urban Wave Mix of Beyond Sound and the monster track Who’s Wearing The Cap (ft. Laidback Luke), the best track on this album. By now, we’ve arrived at the end of a very diverse and dynamic artist album on which Sander van Doorn presents his SvD 2.0 sound to the masses.
Our verdict:
Eleve11 has become more or less what we expected it to be: unpretentious, slightly poppy but wall booming music that will cater to a large international audience (supported by the fact that the album will be released on Ultra). However, Sander’s sound has clearly developed over the past few years, and the album does hold a few very exciting twists here and there. Not every track is a winner but overall speaking, Eleve11 is the work of a man who knows how to make the big rooms go wild without opting for the easy way.

Heralding a throng of fresh new tracks from the respected musical minds of Nic and Bossi, their fifth studio album includes the recent single The Theme and 2010’s epic, majestic Barra; co-productions with international artists like Arnej, Myon & Shane 54 and Andrew Bayer and vocal team-ups with singers including Emma Hewitt, Aruna, JES, Cary Brothers, Cathy Burton + more. 2011 has proven to be another extraordinary musical year in the lives of Cosmic Gate. It’s already brought the release of their early years retro-refit album ‘Back 2 The Future’ - singles from which took up residence in Beatport’s Top 10 for an unprecedented 3 straight months. They’ve also delivered their hugely received Essential Mix debut for BBC Radio 1 and have already brought the C.G. experience to close to a 100 clubs, arenas and festivals around the world.
Now, saving their biggest and best for last, they’re about to crown the year with the release of their new artist album. Nic says: “Wake Your Mind is our collective call-out to the EDM universe. We want this album to shake up people’s conceptions of our music…” “And blow the lingering, out-dated misconceptions to pieces!” adds Bossi.
From the first beat and bar of the album, C.G.’s finely tuned sonics tear relentlessly at the speaker fabric, with the strident, spiked synths of their Arnej collaboration Sometimes They Come Back For More leading the charge. Hot on its heels is their new single, Be Your Sound, which sees Nic and Bossi re-teaming (after 2009’s Not Enough Time) with IDMA-winning vocalist Emma Hewitt. On Wake Your Mind vocals play an ever-greater part of their sound-design and the album sports some of their very best. Taking time out from his film & TV singer-songwriter activities (including work on Easy A & Grey’s Anatomy), Cary Brothers provides the contemplative, low-fi, rock-ish refrain for the album’s outstanding title track. Cathy Burton meanwhile applies serious uplift on Drifting Away, while Wake hits it euphoric high around the stabbed synths and up-rush of Over The Rainbow (vocalled by South African singer J’Something). Scene darling JES supplies the can’t-miss vocal hook to Flying Blind and at the other end of the tempo scale Australia’s Alana Aldea provides from-the-heart lyrics and flawlessly articulated vocal lament to the slow burning Never Apart.
The Theme – Cosmic Gate’s cover of Jurgen Vries’ livewire club-smash – delivers another floor bomb-drop. Its appearance in Nic & Bossi’s early summer club sets was the album’s vanguard track and sparked a rash of ‘how-do-I-get-this?’ questions from some of the world’s biggest DJs.
As ever Cosmic Gate have looked to the less obvious margins to seek out the most imaginative co-production partners to work with on the album. Alongside Anjunadeep/Beats artist Andrew Bayer, they hit the ‘H’ in ‘House’ hard with Nothing Ever Lasts, which combines canyon-deep beats with swirling, sky-scraping prog atmospherics. Another vocal reunion (after the Sign of the Times track Under Your Spell) sees the Cosmics back in the studio with U.S. vocal doyen, Aruna. Completing the line-up (and forming something of a trance super-group in the process!) are Hungarian studio wizards Myon & Shane 54, and collectively they’ve created the heady, intoxicating All Around You.
Diverting brilliantly, Nic & Bossi continue to chart new courses and directions on Wake Your Mind. Whether it be the low-end tempo and hard-warp effects of Beautiful Destruction (Alana Aldea vocalling again) or the familiar, drifting sweep of their Brazil-gazing Barra, the album provides a 360°, all-tastes-catered-for listening experience.

For their second studio album Above and beyond has taken a very different approach from their first Tri-state. That album is as sweet and gentle as Trance music can be and still be called trance. The first track Filmic nods in that direction, but this album quickly hits full stride and does not come back to this pace again until the last 2 tracks.
However this is not a set of typical Above & Beyond dance tracks either, for one thing most of these tracks are vocal, in a 2 hour set they will use as few as 2 vocal tracks. Additionaly the texture and pace of most of these songs is far more varied than what would be used for a show.
Different, good or bad? This album is evidently all about songwriting, including lyrics. The result is an album every bit as good as the former, but with it's own style and more substance than Tri-state[u/]. The song Sun and Moon has been re-worked for the dance floor and is well on it's way to being a favorite with all of their fans.
Go buy this album! You will not regret it!
