About how old are you Kaldur? roughly, 20s? 30s?
Just curious about when high school and when you started listening to this genre |

Aaaaah, these were the times I remember playing around with Fast Tracker 2 in the early 90s. Great, Kaldur! |

Definitely there are some tracks here at EFM that I enjoy, but generally Trance/Chill is rather not my thing.
I'm here because I like Saffron's new idea and the way JERIC and Crew run all 24seven.FM websites.
Besides, I think this radio station has a chance to build another interesting community - just like SST did. |
Yep. What molossus said. |

Good topic Dufresne, I would say that I fall into category two. I also enjoy all different types of music and switch between listening to all kinds of stuff, but soundtracks will always be my first choice.
There are only a couple I am familiar with like DJ Tiesto and Oakenfold and only a couple that I have heard of but not listened to like Enigma and B Tribe. I am excited to learn more about this genre of music and expanding my music knowledge.
Great work with the site Saffron and I look forward to seeing it grow! |

I also voted for the second choice. I've heard a lot of great stuff here on EFM, but the only the stuff I've heard that I'd like to buy is Aria 3 and DJ Tiesto.

I couldn't agree more! (I still have yet to find any good crap rap, I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist).

I really enjoy trance/techno but my main style of music is Metal. I got into trance in my early 20s and have listened to it off and on ever since. _________________ -Does This Hurt?- |

I am a quasi-listener. I like the genre I just don't collect it.
My main music love is Metal (high fives Death_Medic) and symphonies. Sometimes I get lucky and the two are combined, like Michael Kamen and Metallica. |

Like what, if you don't mind me asking? |
I don't mind Well, I still own tapes from Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, Kitaro, Kraftwerk... and some lesser known artists I can't remember right now. Unfortunatly, I'm not sure they could be well represented on Entranced as they're more on the new age side |
Found this dusty old post because of a search on "Jarre". For me, electronic music listening started with Vangelis (Heaven and Hell) when I was 14 and that was 30 years ago.
Great list of composers there alchemist. I would also add to that Tomita, Wendy Carlos, and Synergy (Larry Fast).
I think a lot of vintage Jarre still holds up well to today's electronic; vintage Vangelis not quite as well as Jarre because I think Vangelis is more "orchestral". But a couple of his albums are very ambient, like Soil Festivities (older) and El Greco (more recent, which is already in EFM's playlist).
